Dirty Daddy

Continuing down my Full House memoir lane, and as with Jodie’s, a book that’s been out for awhile, Bob Saget’s memoir is my latest memoir read.

It was interesting reading this a few years after his death. Knowing he did find love again, and also being able to hear his side of some of the stories I have heard from John Stamos’ and Jodie Sweetin’s memoirs.

This one, honestly, was written less like a book, and more like a stand up special. Full of one liners and dirty jokes, I did enjoy this even if I spent a lot of time rolling my eyes at the old school comedy that he put a lot of into his acts and into his book.

I wish he had spent more time on the stand up scene when he was coming up through it in the 70s and 80s, but I did like what he shared on Full House, AFV, and his views on how child actors should be treated. He seemed like a raunchy but an okay dude. I know I was sad about his passing, more for his role as Danny Tanner than for his stand up, but I hope that he doesn’t mind how people remember him, as long as it was fondly.
