Hi! My name is Jenny and I am an avid reader living in SE Michigan with my husband, daughter, and lots of books. I started #eyebrowbookreview on Instagram with my personal IG, and then moved it to @jenny_bean_reads because I was flooding my not-just-books IG with all of the reviews.

Since then I’ve realized that sometimes I want to have more of a discussion than just my review, and so I created this blog to go more in depth with my thoughts (and whatever feelings I had while reading) that isn’t really a part of a review.

You maybe wondering: where does the name Jenny Bean come from? My daughter is my bonus daughter, and she and I call each other [name] Bean. It gives us a special connection and name for each other since I came into her life via marriage to her dad, and therefore she does not call me “Mom.” I checked with her before I bought the domain or registered the handle, and she was on board. Though it is a special name just between us, so you can just call me Jenny.

I also believe that reading is still reading, no matter how you consume the book. Eyes or ears, all text, graphic novel, or otherwise. It all counts!
