Zodiac Academy: The Reckoning

Ok, biggest thing that I was glad to see in this book was that the twins’ orders finally emerged. I was so tired of waiting for that. The biggest thing I am not thrilled that the bullying is still going on. Like, y’all got bigger problems to worry about then who hates each other more here.

I thoroughly enjoyed how long it took the heirs to figure out it was the twins who were starting the rumors and fucking with them. However, I feel like the twins backed off really fast, and didn’t keep escalating. Like I said in my review of Ruthless Fae, they could have done so much more without falling down to the level of the heirs.

That being said, there is just so much fucked up stuff that is happening in this book, that I thank the stars (ha) that the sexy parts are so hot, and the epic storyline has me riveted. Otherwise, I probably wouldn’t have kept reading the series after this one.

I am having a hard time putting these down (I read until almost 2am Sunday night), but I need the plot to move faster. My theory is that Lionel is somehow directing the Nymphs? He’s arrogant enough that I really think he would be like, “Of course I can tell them what to do, I am Lionel Acrux!” Ugh. Especially after the end of this book. Like, dude, come on.

I like the development of Darcy and Orion’s relationship, and I really want the Tory/Caleb/Darius thing to end in a three way, I really do. But I have a feeling that the number of times these books are described as “not a reverse harem” that is not going to happen.
