Silver Screen Fiend

This was a little different for a memoir for me.

Patton tells of his early career through the lens of his movie addiction during that time. It’s an approach I’m not sure that I’ve seen, and it obviously was an issue for him that he needed to deal with. I just never thought about people being addicted to movies before. It make sense. Just because something is generally harmless (movies) doesn’t mean that they can’t become harmful. Good read, if for nothing else then listening about the comedy scene in the 90s.

I’m not sure what else there is to say about this particular memoir, other than it made me laugh, and I enjoyed learning more about Patton Oswalt, as I only really know him from his stand up, and a brief appearance on Parks and Rec. I wasn’t aware of his other writing credits and it was interesting to learn about.
